Overview
We are hiring a writer and producer of extraordinary talent to drive the creation of print, video and photo content. Our ideal candidate is driven by design, loves product, and has a keen eye on experiences that bridge online and print.
Description
The job: to develop and enrich the Wantful experience and brand with exceptional original content of all forms.
You’ll create and amplify the stories and themes of Wantful, and leverage the resulting content with influencers across social media. You’ll write compelling and engaging features, and produce photo and video profiles with our in-house teams and outside experts. And you’ll ensure the content you create is as much a part of the our experience as our products and services.
This position reports to the VP of Marketing, with constant interaction with all members of the Wantful team. We’ll consider candidates in either our SF or NYC offices, and are open to relocating the right person. You should expect to travel frequently.
Specifics
- Create rich and powerful content to engage our community and expand our audience, including blog posts, partner features, interviews, surveys, industry pieces, Facebook posts, tweets, and more.
- Develop a full and comprehensive pipeline of content to leverage across all communications channels.
- Help Wantful demonstrate thought leadership in ways that are relevant to our community and business. Includes authoring blog posts, orchestrating and submitting guest contributions in other publications, securing or conducting interviews with subject-matter experts, and more.
- Develop relationships with relevant bloggers and social media influencers.
- Assist in other critical marketing and communications projects with members of the Wantful team.
Qualifications

- You’ve graduated from a top-tier university with a relevant degree, or are a self-starter with a phenomenal body of work.
- You’re a brilliant writer, itching for an opportunity to expand your audience and contribute to something you believe in.
- You’re a tastemaker with an unmistakable instinct for design and merchandising.
- You’ve got considerable experience writing and producing for video, especially in a design-driven environment.
- You can adopt a tone, an approach, and a voice to your writing that reflects the brand attributes and goals of Wantful.
- You’re fluent in the potential of social media—and in its vagaries—and it’s all second nature to you.
- You’re highly detail oriented with a flawless history of getting things done.
- You’re a permanent resident of the United States and eligible for full-time employment without restriction.
